Bedourie Races is the grand finale of the famous Simpson Desert Racing Carnival. Enjoy the Friday 11th September evening Rodeo and entertainment followed by a great day at the races on Saturday 12th September.
On Friday night kick into Rodeo mode to encourage our local ringers taking on some of the best stock around, music and bar from 5pm. Don't forget to also save time to enjoy the town sights including the restored historic Mud Hut, the Dust Storm sculpture on Herbert Street and the 22 person therapeutic spa with warm crystal-clear water immersing you from an Artesian bore.
"Dress the Desert Pink" for Bedourie's much anticipated Races. Yes, that's right the colour pink! All in the name of Breast Cancer, join hundreds as they flock trackside by day in their finest pink silks to see the winner crossing the pink finishing posts.
Visitors are welcome to join in the fun of a full race program with top betting facilities, fashion on the field (including a "pink" section), food and refreshments available all day until late. Entertainment to be found all weekend!
Camping is available all weekend. Make sure you stop in and say Hi to the Ladies at the Bedourie Outback Visitor Information Centre for all your souvenirs and gift shopping, road conditions and other fantastic things to see and do whilst visiting Bedourie.
