What is the Bedourie Ute & Travellers’ Muster?

For the last six years, the event has been held on the second weekend in September in the historic Outback town of Bedourie, in Queensland’s Diamantina Shire. As the largest muster of this kind in the region, this event attracts more than 50 entrants and 300 spectators from across the state and around Australia.

Recognised by Outback Tourism Queensland as a regional flagship “Outback Eventure”, the Bedourie Ute & Travellers’ Muster is consistently supported by the local community with initiatives to improve both the visitor and competitor experience through improved facilities and promotion.

On Saturday 9 September, Ute and Motorhome owners from around Australia will compete in traditional categories such as Best Outback Ute, Best Bullbar Ute and Best Chick’s Ute as well as new travellers’ categories such as Best RV and Furthest from Home.

The event is also held in conjunction with the Bedourie Races & Rodeo and is supported by local activities, live music and social events. It’s an event that involves an entire community as well as a national crowd.
