Overview
Dress to impress in pink for Bedourie’s much-anticipated Races. Bedourie Races is the grand finale of the Simpson Desert Racing Carnival which comprises of Betoota Races on the last weekend in August, Birdsville Races on the first weekend in September, and Bedourie Races on the second weekend in September.
All in the name of Breast Cancer patient support, join hundreds as they flock trackside by day in their finest pink silks to back a winner crossing the pink finishing posts. Take part in the Fashions of The Field for a chance to win prizes for the Best Dressed in Pink.
Stay on after the races to enjoy live music and a fun-flowing bar.
Take advantage of free camping in designated areas at the Race Course or settle in for a longer stay at Bedourie Tourist Park.
Don’t forget to also carve time to enjoy the town sights including the restored historic Mud Hut, the Dust Storm Sculpture on Herbert Street, and immerse yourself in the warm mineral water of the 22-person Great Artesian Spa at the Bedourie Aquatic Centre.
