The Simpson Desert Racing Carnival is one of Outback Queensland’s most iconic event series, bringing together the Betoota Rodeo & Races, Birdsville Races and Bedourie Races across three consecutive weekends for an unforgettable desert adventure.
The carnival begins with the Betoota Rodeo & Races on the last weekend in August, continues with the iconic Birdsville Races on the first weekend of September, and concludes with the Bedourie Races on the second Saturday in September.
Set against the vast landscapes of the Diamantina, this much-loved carnival combines thrilling country racing, live entertainment, community spirit and true outback hospitality. Bedourie Races
