Just 68 kilometres south of Bedourie, Cuttaburra Crossing is a must-visit spot, boasting stunning wetlands and abundant wildlife.
Cuttaburra Crossing, a permanent waterhole and renowned wetland on Eyre Creek, is nestled between Lake Koolivoo and Lake Machattie. This serene outback oasis is a haven for diverse bird species, which can be observed from bird hides along the creek’s banks, easily accessible from the roadside rest area.
Visitors are welcome to camp at the site, which also offers toilet facilities, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the outback.
This free campground features toilets and a dump point and is dog-friendly. It accommodates RVs, camper trailers, caravans, and big rigs, with tent camping also permitted.
